“Drawing Contest on Human Rights” that was organized under the LHRB Project, aimed at reflecting the basic concepts of human rights from the eyes of children regarding such themes as children’s and women’s rights, right to life, right to health, right to education and employment, right to social security, right to fair trial, freedom of expression and peace and in which 1651 drawings competed was finalized.
The selection committee consisting of the artist Şükran İstanbullu, the art teacher Elmas Yalçın and representative of Turkish Human Rights Institution Aysu Uraz selected the winners. According to the selection; İrem Bade Usta from Samsun 75. Yıl Primary School won the first place with her drawing titled "Letter to the World ", Levent Berk Karataş from Ankara Eryaman Şehir Abdülkadir Yüzbaşıoğlu Secondary School won the second place with his drawing titled "War and World " and Berfin Türkoğlu from Ankara Atatürk Secondary School won the third place with her drawing titled "I wish I could study". Other than top 10 drawings, 20 more drawings were selected for exhibition.
The prizes for the top three winners of the Drawing Contest on Human Rights were an IPI Air 2 for the first place, an Ipad Air for the second place and an Ipad Mini 3 for the third place. Top ten drawings will be exhibited during the Women’s Rights Conference to be organized on 29 April 2015 at Ankara Cer Modern Arts Museum. The other 20 drawings will be used in the printed materials such as brochures, leaflets and visual materials such as the web site under the LHRB project
